Katie Carberry
Growing up on a horse farm in Illinois, she loved having adventures and exploring the creeks and hillsides with the family dog. When she couldn't be outside Katie found herself glued to her sketchbook drawing so she could continue the fun. After high school she went to the city and received her BA in illustration from Columbia College Chicago. Spending a few years after graduation doing commissioned pet portraits, she and her husband decided to move to California where she began to focus on children's illustration as her career. Katie's love and passion for children's books is what drives her illustrations to be fun and colorful while creating a world that children can relate to. Liz holds a BFA in Art from the University of Washington and currently resides in Edmonds, Washington with her husband and son. Her debut picture book, QUACKERS, was published in 2016 by Knopf Books for Young Readers.
